Amethyst Group, Fall 6-Week Session

Service Description

Amethyst is a welcoming writing group for anyone who wants to make space for their creativity, explore their voice, and put words on the page. Each Monday night, we'll gather in a supportive environment to write, reflect, share, and connect with other participants. Like the stone itself, our writing takes shape over time--with patience, intention, and the pressure of a spontaneous prompt. We write in 5-30 minute intervals and share what we've written in a no-feedback environment. Feedback is withheld to encourage writing for the sake of writing instead of writing for validation. Withholding feedback also keeps participants from denying what wants to be written out of a fear of criticism. This is a space for authenticity, creativity, catharsis, and play. I hope you will join us.
